WARNING: AFTER SOME TIME…….. the nc6000 finally died.

I DON’T KNOW IF IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE BIOS! BUT I SUSPECT IT!

SO BETTER DON’T USE THIS *.ISO!!!

IT LOOKS LIKE IT ALL UPDATES FINE!

BUT SOMETHING IS VERY VERY WRONG WITH ALL THESE COMPAQ-HP PIECE OF SHIT NOTEBOOKS!

i will never ever buy hp again.

i have two out of three notebooks that did not last 5 years….

compare this to a macbook!

HP IF YOU READ THIS: YOUR COMPAQ SHIT SUCKX!

AND ITS NOT WORTH TO REPAIR THIS PIECE OF SHIT HARDWARE.

THERE ARE SOOOOOOOOOO MANY „KNOWN ISSUES“ with hp notebooks……. its just ridiculous.

this website is even offering professional hardware-repair (mainboard change) with 6 months warranty!😀

http://nc6000.de/

this proofs how fucked up things actually are with hp notebooks.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=de&cc=de&prodNameId=367369&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=367367&swLang=18&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093

…. is HP REALLY expecting EVERY CUSTOMER who wants to update one’s BIOS to buy an external Floppy Drive?

HELL NO!

There is winimage (make *.IMA from a virtual floppy drive, formated by HP-Bios-Update.exe) and nero, that can make a dos-bootable cdrom from a bootable floppy drive image and a guy who puts it all together and uploads it (illegaly!!!) here on wordpress… for the sake of a better world.

so here it is:

http://lenovo10server.selfip.net/tools/ROMPaq for HP Notebook System BIOS (68BDD ROM) – DOS Bootable Diskette sp35697.iso

(please remove the .jpg ending then burn it on a cd-r or dvd-r/+r and boot from it)

i tried it and it worked for me…… BUT!!!!!!!!! I CAN NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF IT WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU! BIOS UPDATES ARE ALWAYS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

AND NEVER EVER LET THE POWER GO AWAY DURING A UPDATE…. or you can chuck your notebook on the trash.
