vor Jahren hielt eine kleine IT Firma in einem Kinosaal einen Vortrag wie wichtig es doch sei, dass die Mitarbeiter eines Unternehmens nur noch verschlüsselte und signierte (Absender-Verifizierte) mails verschicken, weil sich Absender von jedem script-kiddy einfach fälschen lassen könnten und chef@grosserkonzern.de dann Plötzlich eine e-mail seines Angestellten erhält in der er bis auf’s übelste beschimpft wird.
keine hatte bock auf verschlüsselung weil es so kompliziert zum einrichten war. aber es ist ganricht soooo schwer.

dann kann man seinen öffentlichen schlüssel auf einen öffentlichen key-server hochladen: 
Falls man jemand keine verschlüsselte eMail schicken kann, weil sein Schlüssel rot markiert ist (untrusted) muss man einstellen, dass man auch untrusted PGP-keys vertraut.

3. 15min time to understand what’s going on.
PGP also known as Public-Private-Key consists of two keys.
3.1. A public key (you pass on to your mates/servers) and a
3.2. private key stored ONLY on your private and super-secure computer.
When people/you encrypt a mail with a public key can only be decrypted with your private key. Simple eh?
When it comes to mails, you upload your public key to a key-server and people can search the key-server for your public-key, download it, encrypt mail and send it to you.
